Makaton Training
We offer certified Makaton Level 1 and Level 2 training – perfect for those in health, social care, education, or community roles.
What is Makaton?
Makaton is a unique language programme that uses signs, symbols, and speech to support communication. It’s widely used in schools, healthcare, social care, and community settings to help individuals who have difficulty with spoken language.
Makaton makes communication more accessible for:
- People with learning disabilities, autism, or communication difficulties
- Children with speech, language, or developmental delays
- Individuals living with dementia, brain injuries, or stroke
- People with English as an additional language
By learning Makaton, professionals and students gain practical skills that help them connect more effectively with the people they support.
